God of War 3 Review

First things first, you do not have to have played the previous God of War entries to be able to enjoy or understand this game. It is however, preferable that you have played the games so you are emotionally involved and fully engaged in Kratos’s revenge quest. The game opens up right where God of War 2 left off and how God of War 3 starts is truly epic. The opening sequence is perfect because it sets the stage and prepares you for everything that the game will be. To describe how epic this game is would require the story to be spoiled and we won’t do that because it would ruin the many surprises and cool moments the game has to offer.

I won’t go into details of the story and instead focus on what is new in God of War 3. The first thing you’ll notice is obviously the improvement in graphics which is a given since the God of War series is making the jump from Playstation 2 to the Playstation 3. Let me just say the level of detail in Kratos is "Pretty Sweet". Also its not only Kratos that looks "Pretty Sweet" but all the other characters and the environment looks sick. Now imagine all that in HD .

Now besides the awesome graphics God of War 3 has a few new weapons, which unlike God of War 2 you will look forward to using. In God Of War 2 the only weapon you would use was Blades of Chaos but in G O W 3 you will look forward to using. Now I wont spoil anything by telling you any of the new weapons. But I will say you also have the ability to ride certain beasts.

MULTIPLAYER
Unfortunatly a game like G O W 3 has no multiplayer. But a game like this does not need any in my opinion.

Buy or Not to Buy

This is a must buy game even if it has no multiplayer it is a must buy. You’ll feel right at home if you’ve played the previous games. If you haven’t played them don’t worry, the tutorials will get you familiar with the controls. The game is around 9 to 12 hours of gameplay depending on difficulty.
